PE days

Homerton Class - Tuesday and Thursday

Selwyn Class - Tuesday and Friday

Please ensure your child has a full PE kit in school. This needs to include: trainers, PE shirt, PE shorts, change of socks, jogging bottom and jumper for the colder weather. All named in their own PE bag.

Every day please send in:

  • Your child’s reading record and reading book – please read with your child, or ask a sibling or another family member to read 5 nights out of 7.

  • Your child’s purple Phonics folder – these contain phonics worksheets that have been completed during the school day. We request that every evening they be looked through (practise reading the new phonetic code and the vocabulary to support this  - this should take no more than 5 minutes each night.)

Each week

  • Library book – your child will have the opportunity to choose a book of their choice from the library once a week. Please share this book at home and return it on a Wednesday, our class library day.

  • Spelling folder – (yellow folder) these contain your child’s spelling homework. Please encourage your child to practise their spellings. If possible please put these words around your home, post it notes are good for this, to support their learning. New spellings will be given out on a Friday and then tested in class the following Friday.

Education City

This is additional work that your child can complete at home to support their maths. We will be keeping an eye on who completes the challenges that are set. Your child will bring home their own unique login in their spelling folder.
