I'm afraid we have no pictures this week - the class camera is refusing to communicate with my laptop!

Downing Class wrote some absolutely wonderful stories based on the 2016 Waitrose Christmas advert 'Coming Home'. The one and a half minute advert was turned into a daring adventure and brought to life by their beautifully descriptive writing.

In maths, we have been continuing our work on decimals and percentages. I have been particularly impressed by our pupils' reasoning. This was Ryan's response to the question "I think twenty one tenths equals 2.1 do you agree?":

I agree because two tenths = 2 and one tenth = 0.1

so 2+0.1 = 2.1
