In  history this week, Downing pupils researched Winton Churchill's life to gather information for the biographies they will be writing next week.

In maths, we have been continuing our work with fractions and talking a lot about cake!

In English, we have started our next unit of story writing. On Wednesday, we had a go at describing the inside of a magnificent banqueting hall. I was particularly struck by Isaiah's idea that the mirrors had to reflect what was happening, even if they didn't want to!
