WEEK commencing 20th jan 2020

English: This week we have been busy showing off our diary writing skills. We each chose a person who experienced the Great Fire of London.  We then wrote a diary entry as this person.  The children have completed some beautiful writing and have even published our entries to put up in the classroom! 

On Friday, the children came in to find a 'crime scene' were all of our reading books have gone missing!! They have investigated the scene and wrote a newspaper report on the event.

Maths: This week we have explored statistics. The children have  interpreted and drawn pictograms and tally charts.

Design and Tech: The children spent an afternoon building their Tudor houses. They all  worked so carefully and concentrated on building their house. It was quite tricky! They are all enthusiastically waiting to paint them and show them off!!
