Weekly homework is given to children (in a green or blue folder) on a Wednesday and is expected to be returned to school on Monday.

Weekly homework is made up of:

> Spellings: children get five spellings to learn each week and are tested on these on a Monday. The spellings to learn are individualised for each child.

> Times tables: children are given 3 sets of times tables to revise each week. The times tables that the children need to learn are individualised. Times tables are tested every 3 weeks. The next times tables test will be the first week back after half-term.

> Mathletics: every child has their own Mathletics logon which they can find on the inside of their homework folder. Specific Mathletics tasks are set each week and relate to the work that we have been doing in class.

This year, your child will get a newsletter each half-term. This includes an outline of what we are doing in class and has a set of homework challenges on the back. Each child needs to complete 10 points work of half-termly homework and bring it into school on the final Monday of the half-term.
