Balanced arguments

Over the next few weeks we will be developing our skills in writing balanced arguments. We will consider a number of different topics, for example 'Should children have homework?', and develop the argument for both sides, for an against.

Here are examples of work from Archie and Joel. Archie's paragraph is in support of homework, and Joel's is against.

On Thursday, the children put all that they have learned about balanced arguments into practice. Independently, they each wrote a piece about whether animals should be kept in zoos. Congratulations to all the children on the effort that they have put into this.
