Spring 1 - Week 1

This week in English, we have started to look at diary entries and the different language features to needed to write them effectively.

Here  is Logan's work on the different features found in a diary entry.

In Grammar, we have learnt about using apostrophes for contractions.

Here is Bella P's work on contractions.

In Maths this week, we have been learning about short multiplication. Short multiplication is when you multiply a single digit number by a multiple digit number.

Here is Ibrahim's short multiplication.

This week in Geography, we have started to learn about the lines of latitude and longitude. The lines of latitude and longitude are a system of imaginary lines used to describe the location of any place on Earth. Lines of latitude run in a horizontal (east-west) direction across Earth. Lines of longitude run in a vertical (north-south) direction.  We have learnt how to use the lines of latitude and longitude as coordinates to help us find countries around the world.

Here is James's Geography work.
