Week commencing 30th Sept 2019

Maths - This week the children have continued learning about place value and their numbers.  We have focused on greater than, less than and equal to when comparing numbers. Children are familiar with the symbols and when to use each symbol. They have remembered it by referring to the hungry crocodile and how he loves to eat the bigger number.

English - This week the children have been using talk for writing to immerse into the story "A Place to Call Home." We have used a story map and used talk for writing actions to help us learn the story so that next week we can imitate the story and later on innovate it. The children have also learnt about adjectives and had great fun whilst trying to use adjectives to describe different things.

History - This week the children have learnt about Amelia Earhart this week. We learnt lots of interesting facts and made some lovely lolly stick aeroplanes which we look forward to having hung up in the classroom.

TALK HOMEWORK

  • Ask your child to use adjectives to describe a parent or adult at home.
