Week commencing 18th Nov 2019
Autumn 2 - Week 4
This week in English, we finished our balanced arguments on 'should animals be kept in zoos?' We also wrote an entirely new balanced argument on the question 'should muggles be informed of the existence of the magical world?'
Here is Cheryl's conclusion of her balanced argument 'should animals be kept in zoos?'
Here is Katy's balanced argument on 'should muggles be informed of the existence of the magical world?'
This week in Maths we have started to learn about perimeter. The perimeter is the distance around the outside of a 2D shape. To calculate the perimeter add up all the lengths of the sides of a 2D shape.
Here is Oskar's work on perimeter.
Here is Jayden's work on perimeter.
This week we have started learning how to cross stitch. We are doing this so we can sell the decorations we make at the Christmas Fair next week. Keep an eye out next week for how they turn out!
Harry Potter Studios
This week most of Year 5 were able to go to Harry Potter Studios. Students and adults had a wonderful experience. Thank you to everyone involved for making it happen. Thank you to those parents who were willing to give up their time to come with us on the trip. Here are some photos of the studios. To see more please go to the Trumpington Meadows Year 5 page.
