Week Commencing 2nd Mar 2020

What an exciting week this was.  We all loved sharing stories on World Book Day.  In Hughes Hall class we read over 27 books to each other (we lost count).

Did you know that if you read for 20 minutes a day you will read around 1, 800, 000 words a year?  Also children learn between 4000 and 12, 000 new words a year through reading.  I think we must have increased our vocabulary quite a bit on World Book Day.  KEEP READING.

The staff had far too much fun dressing up.

We loved sharing stories with each other, and with Year 6 when they joined us.

This week we started our new Mystery Story writing in English.  We always start with a Cold Task to show Mrs Wills what we already know.  Some of us have super ideas, have a read.
