PE is on Thursdays for Queens Class and Tuesdays for Clare Class.
Forest School will take place on a Wednesday. Queens and Clare alternate the weeks that they have Forest School:
Queens - 30th September & 14th October / Clare - 7th & 21st October
Children should come to school on PE days and Forest School days wearing their PE kit (or clothes you don't mind getting messy for Forest School!) Please label all items. Jewellery, including earrings, are not allowed for PE.
Your child should bring their book bag to school every day, especially on Friday, which is book-changing day. They should also bring their phonics folders to school every day.
Please send your child with a named water bottle on Monday morning. They will bring the bottle home on Friday to be washed.
Week beginning 21st September
Queens Class and Clare Class enjoyed their first PE lessons outdoors this week!
Week beginning 14th September
This was our first full week in Reception! The children ate their lunch together and enjoyed the beautiful September sunshine. They have been exploring the indoor and outdoor spaces, making new friends, learning to work together, taking turns and sharing. We have been doing lots of singing and storytelling during our carpet sessions and talking about different feelings.
Our welly racks are still quite empty - please remember to bring a named pair of wellies into school for your child. If you have not yet returned your child's summer book or questionnaire, please also send these in ASAP. While the weather is still warm and sunny, it is important that all children come to school with a named sun hat and that sun cream is applied by parents/carers before the start of the school day.
Thank you for your patience at collection time at the end of the school day. As you will understand, it is of the utmost importance that the children leave school safely. We have made it clear to your children that they are only to exit the gate when their teacher has seen the adult who is collecting them. Obviously, at the start of a new year this will take some time and we are grateful for your understanding.
Please let us know if you have any concerns or questions.
