Admissions
Our Admissions Policy sets out the arrangements for admitting pupils to Federation schools and has been developed to ensure that admissions are conducted in a fair, transparent, and equitable manner. The policy is designed to support parents and carers in understanding how places are allocated when applications exceed the number of places available.
The governing body is committed to providing an inclusive education that serves the local community and promotes equality of opportunity for all children. The admission arrangements aim to ensure that every application is considered consistently and objectively, with clear oversubscription criteria applied where necessary.
The policy outlines the procedures for applying for a school place, the criteria used to allocate places, and the processes for appeals and waiting lists. It should be read alongside guidance published by the local authority, which coordinates admissions on behalf of the Federation.
The governing body reviews the admissions policy annually to ensure that it remains compliant with statutory requirements and continues to meet the needs of the school community while supporting the efficient and effective use of school places across the local area.
