Another busy week in Year 6 finished with a fantastic fencing taster session!
Miss Smith organised for a real-life Olympian to come into school to show us what fencing was and how we can take part! Hopefully, it has inspired some of the children to have a go at a club outside of school!
In other subjects, this week we finished writing our newspaper articles: Yasmine's article (below) reports on the mysterious disappearance of dogs around Trumpington! Many of us have used some fantastic new skills in our writing, such as ambitious punctuation, formal sentence starters and carefully chosen quotations.
We have also shown a very mature attitude during our History lesson where we discussed the terrible events of the Holocaust. We thought carefully about how this had happened and how such an event could never be allowed to happen again; this helped us to feel prepared for our visitor on Monday from the Holocaust Education Trust.
