Shock developments as the local police visit Trumpington and arrest Mr Monro!

We were lucky to be visited by the local Trumpington policing team on Tuesday who talked to the class about cycle safety and how all the children in Y6 are now over the age of criminal responsibility!   After the talk, Mr Monro was arrested (on trumped-up charges!) and spent a quarter of an hour handcuffed in the back of the police car.  Once he had been released, to the relief of all the children, we were then able to explore the police car and learn more about the role the police play in keeping us all safe in the community.

It has been a busy half term in Year 6 and this week we have finished off our Amazon rainforest artwork and writing and learned about the consequences of deforestation.   Next half term looks like a busy one including many different activities: World Book Day, Science Week and Charities Morning.

Have a good week off!
