Summer 1 - Week 2 -29th April

Welcome back to school and the final term for the children in Year 5. This half-term is a relatively short one and we are going to be busy.

This week, we will be looking at 3D shapes in Maths and a wide range of newspaper articles in English. As well as this, we will also see all the hard work that the children have done in the Energy Challenge come together in their team posters. Check in later in the week to see photographs of these.

The children have been enjoying our new class book, Street Child, which is set in Victorian Britain and has been a great introduction to this term's topic which we will begin exploring in greater detail during our History lesson this week. We will also be continuing to explore Hinduism and will be playing cricket and getting ready for Sports Day in P.E.

I will be testing times tables next week. Please do encourage your child to spend at least 5 minutes each day after school learning and revising them.
