Welcome back and happy new year! 

Maths:  We have been working on our written methods of multiplication this week. First of all, we recapped the grid method. Then, we moved on to the expanded column method. Some of us have also tried using the compact column method. Why not practise these written methods at home?

English:  We’ve started a new unit of work on persuasive leaflets this week. After discussing the model text, we created our writer’s toolkit for persuasive writing.

Topic:  New year, new topic! This term, we will be learning all about the Anglo Saxons. What do you already know about the Anglo Saxons? What questions do you have?
