Week commencing 11th Nov 2019

Maths:  We have started a new unit on Multiplication and Division and this week, we have focused on multiplying and dividing by 10 and 100. Everyone has worked really hard on this, using place value charts and counters to help with their understanding.  Why not use a place value chart like the one below to practise multiplying and dividing by 10 and 100 at home?

English: We had a rather tasty English lesson this week! Mrs Kirby brought some apples in to help us to use the five sense to describe. After coming up with words and phrases to describe what the apple looked, felt, smelt, sounded and tasted like, we wrote a paragraph to describe the "apple experience!" Why not pick a different fruit or food to write about at home? Don't forget to use the five senses to describe!

Topic: We used clay this week to make our own beads. Everyone worked really carefully and sensibly to ensure their beads were well shaped and smooth. We are looking forward to painting these next week to create our Greek Evil Eye necklaces!
